Thanks Gillian for an excellent walk around Austwick and to see the Norber Erratics, the weather was kind so a good day for walking.
The next walk is on 7th August from Pateley Bridge, going up to Yorke's Folly, with a length of 5.6 miles. This is my walk, but I have to be away, so Tony has kindly taken over as walk leader.
Having completed the walkout, please be aware that there is a steep sided ravine to negotiate filled with high bracken!
P.S. Some kind person has been back and cut the bracken so the path can be seen, hope it doesn't grow again!
WELCOME TO THE KEIGHLEY RAMBLERS WEBSITE.
The group itself first started nearly 40 years ago. We are still going strong, walking usually twice a month.
A shorter walk of 4-6 miles on the first Sunday in the month and a longer walk of 8-10 miles on the third Sunday is the norm. Starting time is 10.30am, unless otherwise stated.
We are a small sociable group of walkers who like nothing better than to walk and talk whilst we explore the moors and dales that surround us in Yorkshire and occasionally Lancashire.
We welcome everyone on our walks - both members and non-members - we do hope you will walk with us when possible.
To make it easier to contact us I have set-up an email account so that everyone can leave comments about our walks or even the website itself or send us pictures which are always welcome.
