Come & join us!

We unfurl our new banner which will be used at the Keighley Show on 6th September.

Thanks to Bridget (lady on the left), for organising this.

Welcome to the website of the Keighley branch of the Ramblers Association.

The group itself first started nearly 40 years ago. We are still going strong, and usually walk twice  a month.

A shorter walk of 4-6 miles on the first Sunday in the month and a longer walk of 8-10 miles on the third Sunday is the norm.  Starting time is 10.30am, unless otherwise stated.

We are a small sociable group of walkers who like nothing better than to walk and talk whilst we explore the moors and dales that surround us in Yorkshire and occasionally Lancashire.

We welcome everyone on our walks - both members and non-members - we do hope you will walk with us when possible.

If you wish to be more interactive with this website, you can became a Member, just click on the membership button.

To make it easier to contact us I have set-up an email account so that everyone can leave

comments about our walks or even the website itself or send us your pictures which

are always welcome.

The address is:-

keighleyramblers@gmail.com

This is an area we could perhaps visit sometime, where is it?

STOP PRESS:

Our walking colleague Jim has taken over The Black Bull in Haworth, the official opening is Saturday, 16th August.  It would be good to give him support when you are next in the area!

The enclosed footpath alongside the old industrial area of Keighley, used by thousands of workers over the years. A lovely rural view less than one mile from Keighley Town centre. Sue & Janice leading the way by the River Worth, which has never looked healthier. On the Worth Way near Woodhouse. New fencing on the right might indicate a development on the way. Smiling faces above Gingerbread Clough Distant views of the Aire Valley. We were walking on that far hillside a few weeks ago. That darn hill up from Hainworth! Bracken Bank in the background Rosemary, Doreen, Michael, & Judy making their way up from Hainworth What a lovely group of happy people! Still smiling above Moor Edge Harden half way round. Uphill through St Ives
