HAPPY CHRSTMAS TO ALL OUR WALKERS!.
A special thanks to all our leaders who have taken the time and trouble to check out the routes and lead us virtually unscathed, (apart from the falling tree), throughout the year.
Here is a picture just outside Airton when we checked out the walk, looks a bit like Christmas.
Please note that the next walk is from Bell Busk, on the 4th January, 2015, it is less than 6 miles with only a small amount of climbing. Having checked the walk, parking in Bell Busk is rather tight so I may decide to decamp to Airton, this will not affect the walk itself. Jeff.
I have some sad news, Gillian's little dog Milli has had to be put to sleep.
She was never any bother, and walked many times with us and was a true Rambler in every sense.
Welcome to the website of the Keighley branch of the Ramblers Association.
We are a small sociable group of walkers who like nothing better than to walk and talk whilst we explore the moors and dales that surround us in Yorkshire and occasionally Lancashire.
The group itself first started nearly 40 years ago. We are still going strong, and usually walk twice a month.
A shorter walk of 4-6 miles on the first Sunday in the month and a longer walk of 8-10 miles on the third Sunday is the norm. Starting time is 10.30am, unless otherwise stated.
