Come & join us!

Please note that I have added some more photos to the last walk report, kindly provided by Yvonne.                                                                                                                                                                    SPECIAL NOTICE:  We`re going for a meal out on Sunday April 12th to the White Lion at Haworth where the food is highly recommended. So far nearly 30 of us have already placed our order. Favourite choices seem to be home made vegetable soup or deep fried brie with redcurrant jelly and a warm bread roll to start, followed by a traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings, with either fruit pavlova or trifle to finish off. If for any reason you haven`t booked your place yet but would like to join us contact Alex as soon as possible, and he will provide you with a menu to choose from and take your order. It should be a lovely sociable event and we`d love you to come and  join us."

Please note I am now adding the Summer Walks Program, for your delectation!!

Some of the group in a huddle on top of the climb, with Alan making a gesture, (most unusual for him).

Taken from Peter's walk from Hebden.

Hope this photo brightens up the home page during this cold weather? The location is on the top of Meal Bhuachaille in the Cairngorms, which are in the background Loch Morlich down below.  Sent by our handsome, mature leader Alex with Bracken his trusty companion.

This photo was taken by yours truly on a short walk by the river Aire near Baildon.

Welcome to the website of the Keighley branch of the Ramblers Association.

The group itself first started nearly 40 years ago. We are still going strong, and usually walk twice  a month.

A shorter walk of 4-6 miles on the first Sunday in the month and a longer walk of 8-10 miles on the third Sunday is the norm.  Starting time is 10.30am, unless otherwise stated.

We are a small sociable group of walkers who like nothing better than to walk and talk whilst we explore the moors and dales that surround us in Yorkshire and occasionally Lancashire.

We welcome everyone on our walks - both members and non-members - we do hope you will walk with us when possible.

If you wish to be more interactive with this website, you can became a Member, just click on the membership button.

To make it easier to contact us I have set-up an email account so that everyone can leave

comments about our walks or even the website itself or send us your pictures which

are always welcome.
